Making My Energy Contagious

Hi, my name is Gianluca DiGiacomo, and thank you for visiting my website!

I am a soon-to-be college graduate with seven years of experience in sports broadcasting across high school, collegiate, semi-pro, and professional ranks. I primarily work across all major soccer teams across Northeast Ohio where I am play-by-play, color commentator, and content writer for teams in MLIS, USL2, USLW, and NPSL.

I have spent the last four years as a dedicated member of John Carroll University’s Sports Information Department as a Senior Staff Writer and a four-year captain for the men’s soccer program. During my time, I drove over 40,000 people from 50+ countries to our team while being a Broadcaster of the Year nominee three years in a row.

Outside of the commentary realm, I also do sports writing, and have won multiple national and international nominations for various digital media projects.

Above all, I love what I do because it allows me to be the vessel to tell a story; whether that be of player, team, match, or anything in between. The community of players, fans, families, and coaches I have created during my journey make me more fulfilled than any award ever could!

I am graduating with a double major in Digital Media Communication and Sports Administration from John Carroll University, and am pursuing the ability to continuing building my sports career!

I am extremely eager to continue exploring the professional world and finding new ways to connect with people through my passion of sport, whether that be in front of a camera or behind a microphone.
